Support for the Hunter Family

Many people have shared food, time, energy, music, love and more. At this time the Hunters are saying thank you, and are cooking and managing on their own. We will be contacting people on the list if there is a need for food or help with the farm.
There are a number of music benefits coming up mid- July (see main page for details), an important link to the Tom Hunter Family Fund for donations to the family; and a link to Tom's music company (The Song Growing Company) to order CD's and books. Thank you thank you for your loving kindness.

Tom,

I'm sitting here with tears flowing - joy and sadness equally mixed - seeing the wonderful photos and reading the profound words - remembering the 30+ hours we've spent together over these past 18 years - knowing you deeper than I know many people I've spent much more time with - we never spoke at length but I'm so blessed to have shared all those magical, mystical, musical moments. (sorry, my inner lyricist popped out for a moment) Your soul is deep, your wisdom timeless, your joy infectious, your song always filled with truth - I can hear your voice in my mind with no effort at all - I know it will always be there in the key of the spirit - my only regret is never having recorded with you - sometimes we just shouldn't wait - I love you, my friend.

My heart is breaking. Like frozen ice tossed on the ground, splintering and shattered, spreading in all directions as it breaks.
I can help with anything regarding Tom's book publishing or getting that in shape, whatever you need in that area.

Tom

While you don't know me, I have heard you sing with Bev and Michael numerous times, heard your stories and laughter and felt your passion for the work that we all do with children.
I just wanted to let you know that you have shined a light on me as an educator of young children.

"Most of us end up with no more than five or six people who remember us. Teachers (like you) have thousands of people who remember them for the rest of their lives."
~Andrew Rooney

Perhaps you will never know the impact you have had on the thousands of people you have come in contact with, but please know the impact has been great.
Sincerely
Lisa Ranfos, NH

I was very sorry to hear of Tom's passing. I originally heard him in ~1981 when I was a child at the Cedar Hills Co-Op kindergarden (Portland, Or) around 1981. Our family had a tape of his music and listened to it so many times.

Recently my daughter started at the Co-op and was introduced to some of his songs. I'm glad that after all these years, she was able to learn some of his songs.

Thanks Tom.

In the Fall of 2008 I attended Tom's conference in Long Island, NY. As an early childhood teacher I have been to many - but his presentation was the best I have ever experienced. I am deeply saddened to hear of his passing, what an amazing contribution he has made to the world. Yesterday was our school's "Moving Up" ceremony and we did the Pirate Song. This was my class's favorite song all year. I will continue to teach young children all of Tom's beautiful music! My deepest sympathy. Lisa Kozlowsky
